2026 – Week 39

Monday: A day of driving around on errands; went over to a hackerspace to pick up eWaste for my dragon hoard of sculpture materials. Then, to bunnings to collect materials for my next fabrication project, and on to Kmart to pick up a new cooler bag. Finished the Derby Daze series on Mastodon, after 126 days.

Tuesday: Drove out into the industrial lands of Brisbane again, north this time, to pick up replacement jacking feet for my workbench. These ones have ball joints on the feet so that if they’re on an uneven surface, they’ll tilt to conform.

Wednesday: Working in Hannah’s garage. Fired up the welder, and gave it a run. Everything appears to be working, I was able to get the helmet dialled in, and the settings all configured. Replaced the levelling feet on the workbench with ball-jointed versions from yesterday, and they’re working wonderfully. Watched movies while having BBQ pork ribs for dinner.

Thursday: Tidied up in Hannah’s garage, moved most of my tools into the tool chest, and cleared out 4 big plastic tubs in the process. I moved the tool chest under the workbench, which I was able to lift on its new, longer levelling feet. Next trip down, I can start work on the new levelling feet.

Drove up to Noosa in the evening, while Hannah was already at the Sunshine Coast doing a talk. Stopped at Hungry Jacks, where I was given the wrong burger at the drive-through.

Friday: Had a grocery delivery with several things wrong. Spoke to Hungry Jacks, and worked out that I’d been charged the correct amount for the wrong order.

Saturday: A quiet day, played some games with Hannah in the evening.

Sunday: Another quiet day. Spent time looking for instructions for the welding glass in my PAPR helmet. Made a portion of Nachos mix, with some mushrooms, broccolini, grated carrot and avocado for dinner, as well as a large bowl of ramen broth.

Upped my workout to 40 reps.
